Wij zijn UPHO, het Universitair Public Health Opleidingsinstituut, opgericht door UMC Utrecht en Amsterdam UMC. We verzorgen de opleiding tot arts Maatschappij & Gezondheid (M+G) en leiden onze aios op tot veelzijdige artsen M+G die van waarde zijn in elke context, op elke werkplek en bij elk (volks)gezondheidsprobleem. Met een focus op nieuwe werkplekken en actuele vraagstukken, besteden we veel aandacht aan de professionele ontwikkeling van zowel de aios als de beroepsgroep als geheel.
Onze aanpak is gebaseerd op drie ambities: innovatie in de publieke gezondheidszorg, het centraal stellen van de aios als expert, en het slaan van bruggen tussen verschillende domeinen.
UPHO is er voor artsen die willen pionieren in de publieke gezondheidszorg. De opleiding is gericht op professionals die energie krijgen van het verkennen van nieuwe werkterreinen en die met lef en visie willen bijdrage aan de ontwikkeling van het vakgebied M+G. Ideaal voor artsen die verbinding leggen tussen wetenschap en maatschappij, en die een blijvende impact willen hebben op de volksgezondheid.
