Students at the University of Toledo study in state-of-the-art facilities on the University of Toledo’s Health Science campus. The College of Nursing houses the Learning Resource Center , which provides students access to learning laboratories equipped with low-fidelity mannequins and many task trainers. Our students also use the technologically-advanced Lloyd A. Jacobs Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center (IISC) . Built in 2014, IISC gives students across disciplines access to virtual immersive technology, high-fidelity mannequins and a number of other advanced clinical simulation spaces. Here, students also practice interprofessional communication and conflict resolution.
Our talented faculty provide innovative instruction that prepares students to deliver care in a variety of settings and across all age groups. We help to shape nurses who will translate and implement nursing research into evidence-based practice, develop leadership and organizational expertise, and identify approaches for quality management and performance improvement in health care organizations. While at UToledo, students can also take advantage of research opportunities with faculty, as well as our partners at Promedica.
