The University of Victoria Investment Group aims to create an investment society of like-minded students who are interested in institutional investing, economic markets, and pursuing finance as a career.
The development of a tight knit and dedicated batch of students will help to improve and grow the group over the coming years. The UVic Investment Group suits students who recognize the value of forming an intricate network of students and professionals in preparation for the job search that follows graduation.
In the past, investment or finance clubs at UVic have been unsuccessful in their development. While taking a strategic and conservative approach, we aim to create a sustainable entity by modelling it in an autonomous fashion and by looking deeper into the needs of students who are determined to be successful in the investment industry.
Members of this group will contribute their efforts to the best of their abilities and will use their resources to build one of the most prestigious student-led assets of the university.
