The Story Behind Van Bulck
The name Van Bulck is a heartfelt tribute to our managing director’s mother, Liesbeth Van Bulck. A relative of a renowned brewer from Watou, Liesbeth inherited her passion for Belgian beer culture from her godfather. She went on to earn her chef’s diploma and trained as a sommelier, always guided by a family philosophy rooted in quality and authenticity.
Long before "organic" became a trend, Liesbeth was dedicated to using only the finest, freshest ingredients in her restaurant. That same commitment lives on in Van Bulck Beers — where organic brewing is not a marketing tool, but part of our DNA.

De naam Van Bulck is een eerbetoon aan de moeder van onze zaakvoerder, Liesbeth Van Bulck. Als familielid van een gerenommeerde brouwer uit Watou erfde Liesbeth haar passie voor de Belgische biercultuur van haar peter. Ze behaalde haar diploma als chef en volgde een opleiding tot sommelier, steeds gedreven door een familiale filosofie van kwaliteit en authenticiteit.
Lang voordat “bio” een trend werd, werkte Liesbeth uitsluitend met de beste, meest verse ingrediënten in haar restaurant. Diezelfde toewijding leeft voort in Van Bulck Bieren — waar biologisch brouwen geen modewoord is, maar deel uitmaakt van ons DNA.
