NV VAN DER SPEK was founded on April 27th, 1961. At that time, our company started the distribution of tower cranes on the Belgian market. The small office in the very center of Brussels was soon replaced by a suitable location in Overijse where we had a workshop and a storehouse at our disposal.
On September 28th, 1976, Van Der Spek purchased a construction site along the E40 highway, just a few minutes away from the road junction of Groot-Bijgaarden. Our new building with offices, depot and workshops, were officially opened on May 2nd, 1977 and, at the same time, our product series was increased with mobile cranes, fast erecting cranes, concrete mixers and concrete batching and mixing plants.
We continued expanding and in 1990 we moved our offices, new technical installations and storage depot to a 5 ha large area just across our previous location.
At the moment, we can offer a large series of machines to comply with all sorts of applications for high-rise building, construction, recycling, material handling for port operations as well as road works. A qualitative, diversified and specialized after sales service improve our position.
