Helping, Serving, and Giving Hope...Turning Homeless To Helpful. We were initially established as a private company in 2015 but given the nature of who we are, what we do and by a little nudge of a very good friend and mentor, we made the transition into a not-for-profit. It’s taken a lot of work and of course there’s more work to be done but we’re here now. This came on the heels of previously volunteering and helping take a census of the homeless veteran population on multiple occasions. We’ve heard a few really, rough stories from some of the ones we’ve met. There was and is a need to do so much more, with both provisions and interacting. We have become committed to helping homeless veterans across the U.S., by providing clothing, personal hygiene materials, water and prepackaged snacks, blankets and backpacks. Now, homeless veterans are our primary target, however, individuals who are non-veterans will still receive attention from us, they are who we call positive casualties. This is what we stand for and it is our primary goal. We have a second undertaking and it is called our Spark Of Life Project; this is where we engage and interact with homeless/transitional veterans and positive casualties in a more productive manner. We will go to a designated location and set up to have a movie night with them, or we will take an individual to be cleaned up, get a haircut, get fresh clothes and spend the afternoon with him/her at a football/hockey/baseball game or maybe out fishing. This is an invitation back to life, to recreate that spark in them to live again, this is what we call productive-engagement! Next year in October 2019 we are planning on having our first annual group trip with 3-4 homeless veterans to the Ark Encounter in Kentucky; to see the Ark in its fullness and in its grand scale.
