We are a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organisation fundraising to support two organisations providing social and psychological support and education to working children in Quito, Ecuador. Our aim is to break the cycle of poverty for some of Ecuador's poorest families and provide a brighter future for their children. The two organisations we support, CENIT and UBECI, both rely on donations and external support to survive.
At CENIT, we fund the salaries of teachers at a school that takes disadvantaged children who can't attend mainstream school, due to their older age, and provides them with a basic education. This allows them to seek better paid work in the future.
At UBECI, we fund the salaries of outreach workers who work in 4 markets, providing a safe space for hundreds of working children to learn and play as well as receive vital social and psychological support. They also run an after school club to help older children with their homework.
