Vikas Samvad works as a peoples centric Research, Capacity Building, Communication organization. Primarily it focuses on capacity building to a wide network of organisations on Nutrition Security, Agriculture Communication, child rights (especially nutrition, health, Education.), empowerment, women and youth leadership, Constitutional values. In short, Vikas Samvad plays a supportive role for various organizations by giving them the requisite support and building their capacities on process documentation, publication, planning and coordination to take constructive actions forward. Starting in 2001 as a project, Vikas Samvad is being seen today as an innovation in the field of media in the country, with accent on Madhya Pradesh. The thinking of Vikas Samvad has been to bring about change in the perception of issues related to wider public interest in the media. The thrust is on a change which can pull society out of the web of poverty, exploitation, discrimination and render a plateau of respect, equality and justice. To create a larger change, Vikas Samvad tries not to initiate only a particular section in isolation. Rather, all topics and issues are sought to be addressed holistically, connecting them with one another for a broadened perspective.
Today, Vikas Samvad has emerged as a social research, training and documentation and advocacy group, to be reckoned with. Our efforts seek to address the societal issues from a larger community perspective. Thus, these are assayed in the context of ideas-facts-values-evidences for being taken in public discourse.
