Het Voedsel Anders netwerk versterkt de beweging van mensen die een ander systeem van voedsel en landbouw willen. Eerlijke prijzen voor de producent, een gezond product, samenwerken met de natuur, een eind aan de ongezonde invloed van de handel en de grote agrochemische bedrijven, betere en minder eenzijdige informatie in de pers, korte ketens en zeggenschap van producent en consument over het voedsel. Dat zijn een aantal kernbegrippen van de discussies binnen het netwerk
Het netwerk bestaan uit een grote groep individuen, al dan niet aangesloten bij een organisatie. Ook een flink aantal boeren, verwerkers, burgers, kunstenaars en wetenschappers zijn betrokken bij het netwerk. De uitgangspunten zijn vastgelegd in een manifest, dat door circa vijftig NGO's en andere organisaties wordt onderschreven.
We hebben twee succesvolle conferenties georganiseerd aan de Wageningen Universiteit, een bodemconferentie, en diverse netwerkbijeenkomsten. We zijn nu onder andere 'De stad in en de boer op' en halen verhalen en aanbevelingen op in het hele land gedurende 2018. Verder publiceren we een serie goed onderbouwde artikelen om mythes over landbouw en voedsel te ontzenuwen. Onze Vlaamse zusterorganisatie richt zich vooral op het Vlaamse publiek en de beleidsmakers daar. Hun website is voedselanders.be.
