Back to 1997, Vortex AST&T- was created and based in Rabat- Morocco while servicing all provinces with its eco-responsible solutions. Vortex was born out of the experience and sensitivity of its founders to the challenging environmental issues of supply and sustainable use of water and energy. The company was mandated by the government of Morocco to maintain and supervise critical remote water supply projects as well as water dam projects and rural electrification. Led by the belief that water is a scarce and vital resource for everyone, optimizing the management and preservation of this generational heritage was at the core of Vortex’ operations

PAGER: Programme d’Alimentation Generalise en Eau Potable au Profit du Monde Rurale - Global Program for Rural Water Supply). The target was to increase the overall freshwater access rate in Morocco to 98 per cent. Being chosen as preferred bidder, Vortex delivered more than 55 pumping stations across the country. Each station served at least three villages with at a population of minimum 1,000 inhabitants per village.
PNER: Programme National de l'Electrification Rurale- Program for Rural Electrification). The goal was to increase the overall electricity access rate to 98% across the country. Under this program, Vortex also electrified more than 55 water stations that it had delivered under the PAGER scheme.
PMV: Plan Maroc Vert - Green Morocco Plan, This initiative has largely contributed to the creation of agricultural cooperatives in various areas of agriculture, the development of cooperation between the State and agricultural professionals through the program's contracts, and the launch of new projects. One of one of the main targets was the management of the water economy which consisted of transforming 1 million hectares to drip and solar irrigation.
