The research objectives of the Mycochem Group revolve around the generation of biopharmaceuticals by exploring, evaluating and characterizing bioactive compounds from endophytic fungi associated with medicinal plants, fungal symbionts linked to marine sponges and fungi allied to gold mine tailings.
