I believe that with a little help everyone can consume more responsibly. In 2019, just before the pandemic, I left my job in commercial interior design to begin a new career as a zero waste shop owner. I restored a run-down but lovely building at 518 Holloway Road, worked with Weyify to create an app to make shopping at Kilo fast and easy, and opened in August 2020.
Today we source and sell products in bulk or without disposable packaging and, where possible, they come from local producers or fair-trade suppliers.
As for our customers, we are so grateful for helping make Kilo a success. You have been incredibly loyal through the pandemic, and when we say we’ll try to source anything you’re looking for – we really mean it.
