Headquartered in Singapore, WEGOGO is a Social Travel Marketplace that connects travelers directly with aspirational local activities, tours, attractions and events provided by long tail travel operators in the world (3rd largest travel segment worth USD$135 billion) via a WeChat super App-in-App, iOS and soon-to-be-rolled out Android.
Since the launch of the live Beta in 2016 (WeChat) and 2017 (iOS), WEGOGO has received over 5000 paid transactions across its 400 curated activities spanning 10 Southeast Asia destinations. WEGOGO aims to attain 120 island destinations and 16000 activities for booking to fuel the aspirational dreams of millennial travelers by 2020.
As part of its next phase of development, WEGOGO will build WeGold, the first travel blockchain to address the rising wave of Asia’s global tourism. The project aims to create an innovative ecosystem that will democratize travel and give rise to a “fair share” economy world of tourism. With the help of PathFinders at its core, the platform will fairly reward and incentivise all participants through WeGold to discover, share and connect to the world’s long tail of aspirational experiences.
The WeGold ICO will launch on 15th May, with registration for whitelisting to start on 1st May.
