Well Beans was created with kids in mind; for kids minds. Well Beans has special interest in working with kids who may have had some pretty terrible/tough things happen,so they start feeling safe and secure as quick as possible.
We would like to think we also 'go alright' with typical kid stuff too like, worrying more than usual (or all the time), help with confidence and resilience building, issues with friends (and people in class who are really not your friend) and helping you work out things that you aren't really sure about. We even have ideas for you to have better relationship with your family (you know, only if you want).
Kids who have survived tough stuff, sometimes show similar behaviours as kids who are neurodivergent. This means that our therapists are well equipped to work with kids who think and see the world differently; divergent thinkers (such as ADHD and Autistic). Well Beans has dedicated therapists working within strength based models; using non-shaming interventions, to work with divergent thinking brains. Actually, all our practitioners are continuing to learn neuraffirming practices to use with all our kids because neuroaffirming practices basically means we accept all brain types and people, so we think it's a good way to treat everyone.
