In 2015, the UN General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals. A blueprint for achieving a better and more sustainable future for all by the year 2030. Goal number seventeen is partnerships in the goals, and as we are moving too slowly and face great danger of coming up short of the Sustainable Development Goals, SDG 17 can help move things forward in pace we yet haven't experienced.
Technological breakthroughs and creativity are critical to advancing the SDGs and facing the ever-increasing list of sustainability concerns. Disruptive innovation is not a silver bullet but holds the highest potential in addressing complex systemic global issues. Fortunately, transformative change is something humans have done many times before, and to achieve this, we need to collaborate.
This manifesto is a pledge to SDG Seventeen, a pledge where you, as an individual, can help by helping other people or organizations, and a pledge to bring Seventeen forward to as many people as possible.
Pledge 1: Help others
Use your network and your skills to help individuals, organizations, or corporations to achieve their SDG goal. And support them with one-hour pr. Week.
Pledge 2: Help others and donate to organizations
Use your influence as a thought-leader, trusted speaker or celebrity, and sell your knowledge or reach for an hourly price. Donate the money to one of the organizations that are moving things forward LDCFoundation etc.
