It was created on 8 February 2017 by community builder and former Reuters News journalist Nitin SJ Asariparambil when he moved back to his home city of Thiruvananthapuram from Bengaluru.
Nitin saw people such as him struggle to find basic help and information about services and social events, especially when shifting base to the ever-evolving capital of Kerala state. Nitin added 20 of his friends to help one another in a group of Facebook, and it grew astronomically over the years, gaining popularity among small business owners, elders seeking to find new avenues, and youngsters moving to the city for work. The group, as of date, stands at a strength of around 48,000 members, averaging 100-250 active posts per day.
