Williamdale is a celebration of the automotive artform at its zenith; an anthology of designs that suffer no compromise to the constraints of volume manufacture; a 'last hurrah' for the drivers and enthusiasts before the characterless tedium of self-driving safety pods fully takes hold.
Our first piece re-imagines one of the icons of the British Motor Industry. Named after a butler, Brabinger DCX110 is the archetypal 'wolf in sheep's clothing'. A tubular spaceframe chassis with race suspension to handle the 1.000-plus horsepower from the 10.5 litre V8 gives the car the kind of capability that wouldn't be embarrassed on the Dakar Rally. All this is clothed on the automotive equivalent of a Saville Row suit, cut from weave-matched carbon fibre such that it wouldn't look out of place at Balmoral or Buckingham Palace.
