OIL AND NATURAL GASSES ARE RUNNING OUT AND WITH OTHER COMPANIES TAKING MORE RISK TO EXTRACT IT FROM THE EARTH TO MAKE A PROFIT, THE TIME IS NOW TO GET UP AND STAND UP TO WHAT IS RIGHT! INVEST IN THE ONLY TRUE GREEN, CARBON FOOTPRINT A FREE WAY OF CREATING ENERGY USING WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE, WASTE!!. The need for architecture to not just be conventional is more than just about having living space; there is a real need to think outside the box when it comes to understanding the need to house displaced communities after either war or natural disasters. Mass migration from one country to another after such an event is becoming the norm, yet nobody is tackling the issue. Designing modern 'shanties' which are self-sustainable is now a must within modern society. War, ‘natural’ disasters, climate change, all are created by man and it’s time we start tackling our doings and put in place systems and eco-friendly designs in place to make this happen. Mass displacement is happening on a daily basis - where these people are going to live and how they will support themselves with food, water and practical shelters are questions which need answering. Where is the infrastructure that not only protects them but also provides for them? The world is changing, people are ignoring the signs that mother nature is wanting to reclaim her world for herself as she sees the mass destruction not only on an unprecedented level but on a global one. The world is our house and we are not growing and changing to improve our way of living, not helping to protect what has been gifted to us.
