Writeur Films is a film & TV production company. We focus on writer driven media with an intense focus on story structure, narrative arc, and character complexity. We have developed many projects in both traditional & new media and continue to be open to opportunities to explore new creative outlets and to empower imaginative individuals to achieve their best work. We have worked in many different formats and mediums, including features, TV movies, television miniseries, television full length series (both 60 minute drama and 30 minute comedy), new media, print books, and, most recently, online education series. In today’s television landscape, the writer is assuming the responsibilities for controlling the narrative, character, and production in an unprecedented manner. With the advent of the “showrunner,” who traditionally is the lead writer on the series, we are seeing a return to the role of the writer at the center of a collaborative media project. We embrace this development and the ability for writers to push further than ever before and explore new topics, types of characters, and subject matters. Many consider television to be currently in a “golden age,” as writers have more control over production, which we feel is certainly no coincidence. For this reason, among others, many of our current projects are designed for one of the various television formats.
