An ultra-endurance combination in a hot desert environment that combines two sports disciplines attached to the environment and impacted, or even made impossible, by the increase in temperatures. Running and cross-country skiing. A great world first for a cross-country ski circuit! For its first edition (early 2022), XCSS © will take place in the Moroccan Sahara.
For this unprecedented challenge, the participants undertake, in addition to surpassing themselves in sport, to become a player in the future of the planet. By offering solutions to fight against global warming, by becoming an ambassador, by imagining new ways of practicing their sport…
The winner of this rather special race will be the planet and not the sporting performance.
XCSS © is a human adventure that aims to be united, to meet local populations. A total immersion to learn with the peoples of the desert, to be inspired by them to face climate change, to alert to their growing vulnerability, to be the spokesperson for new practices and to pass them on. XCSS © is a non-profit, humanist project.
