XENION e. V. besteht seit 1986 als psychosoziales Behandlungszentrum für traumatisierte Geflüchtete sowie Opfer von Folter, Krieg und anderen schweren Menschenrechtsverletzungen. Ihre Familien finden bei uns ebenfalls Unterstützung. Als politisch und religiös unabhängige, nichtstaatliche Menschenrechtsorganisation haben wir uns ein klares Ziel gesetzt: Wir bieten geflüchteten Menschen Schutz, professionelle psychotherapeutische Hilfe, soziale Beratung und Begleitung.
Unsere Arbeit folgt einem ganzheitlichen Ansatz. Im Rahmen unserer Erstberatungen erörtern wir zunächst sinnvolle Formen der psychotherapeutischen Behandlung, die wir dann bedarfsorientiert um kreative Ansätze und soziale Beratung ergänzen. Mit diesen Bausteinen stehen wir Klient:innen aller Altersgruppen zur Seite: Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen.
Darüber hinaus koordinieren wir mehrere Ehrenamtsprogramme, in denen engagierte Berliner:innen geflüchteten Menschen helfen und unterstützen:

XENION e. V. has existed since 1986 as a psychosocial treatment centre for traumatised refugees and victims of torture, war and other serious human rights violations. We also provide support for their families. As a politically and religiously independent, non-governmental human rights organisation, we have set ourselves a clear goal: We offer refugees protection, professional psychotherapeutic help, social counselling and support.
Our work follows a holistic approach. As part of our initial consultations, we first discuss appropriate forms of psychotherapeutic treatment, which we then supplement with creative approaches and social counselling according to need. We use these modules to support clients of all ages: children, adolescents and adults.
We also coordinate several volunteer programmes in which committed Berliners help and support refugees:
