Championing city centre businesses, working together for a stronger York.
The York BID team are a small group of York residents who are passionate about the city and work hard to build partnerships with key stakeholders to make impactful change for people who work, live and visit the city.
We work with key partners – including the City of York Council, Visit York, and Eboracum Security to deliver programmes. Major projects include:
Rapid Response Cleaning Service.
This service is available 7 days a week for levy paying businesses to quickly blast away unsightly mess and graffiti.
Street Rangers.
The eyes and ears of the city streets – the Rangers deter anti-social behaviour and deal with low-level crime as well as providing a friendly presence, assisting visitors and residents in the city.
Winter Lights.
The BID implement a stunning winter lights display to transform the city during the darker months.
The York Gift Card.
This initiative provides more choice than a single brand gift card while locking in support for local businesses by encouraging people to spend money in the city centre. Over 300 businesses in York participate in the scheme.
