En el año 1934 un grupo de experimentadores casi todos radiodifusores reunidos en los salones del Ateneo de Caracas deciden unir esfuerzos para crear una organización que agrupe, entrene y represente a los radioaficionados del país, así nace el RADIO CLUB VENEZOLANO
Su fundación se produce por un feliz encuentro ya que dichos experimentadores pioneros de la radioafición en el país estaban lijados a dos grandes empresas radiodifusoras distintas que competían en el medio para la época como lo eran la Broadcasting Caracas (hoy Radio Caracas Radio) y Radiodifusora Venezuela junto a representantes de organismos oficiales aúnan esfuerzos para lograr el fortalecimiento y proyección en el tiempo de esta noble actividad.
