The Healthy City (HC) is a progressive civil society organization, founded in 2000. Association members work on gathering and connecting people and organizations to cooperate for a healthier and more sustainable community.
Through many successful EU, international, and national projects, preventive, educational, and social entrepreneurial activities organization succeeds in improving the environment in the local community, above all.
We cooperate with scientific research institutions, educational, economic, and health institutions, state, county, and local administrative entities, as well as with other NGOs and individuals, in Croatia and abroad. HC conducts professional and scientific prevention projects in the field of health in the broadest possible sense of the word, which includes a healthy environment, a healthy lifestyle, a healthy work environment, and healthy interpersonal relationships.
HC has experience in non-formal education of different target groups, vulnerable ones, entrepreneurs, youth, and children.
HC is a communication expert, has experience in two Interreg Italy-Croatia projects as being Communication Manager, has experience in digital marketing, especially in engaging target groups by digital platforms. The organization has also published many publications, scientific or expert papers for different events/conferences, and has published many books, manuals, guides, children's books, and youth books guides and manuals.
HC listens to the pulse of its citizens and society as a whole continuously and has experience in conducting studies in focus groups, and in different communities to find out necessary data relevant to the research.
The organization does a lot of supporting the community on mental health through different activities, training, and marketing campaigns to emphasize the importance of mental health especially affected by the COVID pandemic and its consequences.
