Zimeleza Africa was a startup project based in Kabale, Western Uganda. Our aim was to see how a digital platform could best support connections between skilled domestic workers and local households. During our year of operation, we connected at least 88 workers with over 173 households, which taught us a great deal. Zimeleza served as an insightful first step into this important sector. With this exploratory phase now complete, the team is currently focusing on other projects, while intending for Zimeleza's valuable learnings to be the foundation for a refined approach in this space later on.
