יד יצחק בן־צבי היא הגוף המוביל בתחומי המחקר והלימוד של תולדות ירושלים, ארץ ישראל וקהילות ישראל במזרח.
יד יצחק בן־צבי פועלת על פי חוק של הכנסת משנת 1969, נושאת את שמו של נשיאה השני של מדינת ישראל, וממשיכה את פועלו בתחומי המחקר בהם עסק, וממוקמת בבית הנשיא בירושלים.

מכון בן־צבי העוסק בחקר קהילות ישראל במזרח
המכון לחקר ארץ ישראל ויישובה העוסק בחקר ארץ ישראל לתולדותיה.
בית הספר ללימודי ירושלים מתמחה בלימוד תולדות ירושלים על מגוון סמליה, אנשיה ואתריה ומקיים קורסים, סיורים, סדנאות והשתלמויות למגוון קהלים: קבוצות נוער, מורים, כוחות הביטחון, משרדי ממשלה ולעולים חדשים.
מחלקת ההכשרות מכשירה בכל שנה מאות מדריכים להדרכת סיורים ולפעילויות חינוכיות בירושלים וכן מפעילה קורסים ייחודיים למורי דרך.
מרכז ללימודי ארץ ישראל המקיים עשרות קורסים, סיורים וכנסים בכל הארץ ומיועדים לציבור הרחב.
במקביל אליהם פועלים ספרייה, ארכיון תמונות, הוצאת ספרים המוציאה לאור עשרות ספרים וכתבי עת בשנה וחנות הספרים של ההוצאה.
פעילות היד מתבצעת במתחם אתר המורשת 'צריף הנשיא יצחק בן-צבי' הכולל היום גם את ביה"ס ללימודי ירושלים, אולם ההרצאות של יד בן-צבי, אולם כנסים חדש וכיתות לימוד מאובזרות.
כיום ניתן לערוך סיורים באתר בהדרכת טובי המדריכים של יד בן־צבי וכן לערוך בצריף ישיבות וכנסים מיוחדים.
