tap4fun成立于2008年，最早专注于智能手机应用开发。2011年，公司开始了手机SLG游戏（我们将其定义为：基于地图的大型多人在线战争游戏）的研发、发行和运营，陆续发布“帝国三部曲”（海岛帝国、银河帝国、王者帝国）、《斯巴达战争》、《银河传说》、《Invasion》、《Brutal Age》和《Sea Game》，逐步在全球手机游戏市场成为代表中国的声音。
2012年3月 《银河帝国》登上美国区App store畅销榜首位 ， 2012年4月《王者帝国》登上中国区App store畅销榜首位。在国际权威第三方统计机构App Annie发布的2012年全球移动游戏企业收入排行榜中，tap4fun成为入围前50强仅有的两家中国企业之一。在德勒发布的2014年高科技高成长企业排行榜上，tap4fun位居成都市20强第一名，全国50强第三名。
2015年《Invasion》被Facebook评选为全球年度最佳手游，同年tap4fun首次公开发行募股说明书，拟登陆上交所主板。2016年5月16日， 苹果总裁Tim Cook第八次访华，tap4fun成为此次活动唯一受邀参加的游戏公司。2017年1月10日，全球最大传播集团WPP的品牌咨询公司BrandZ发布2017年中国出海品牌30强排行榜，tap4fun排名第19名。
