江铃集团新能源汽车有限公司（简称JMEV）成立于2015年初，是江铃汽车集团有限公司为顺应国家产业政策及新能源汽车行业发展需要成立的专业从事新能源汽车研发、生产、销售和服务为一体的新兴企业。
2016年底公司获得国内第七张新建纯电动乘用车生产资质，2017年9月底成为国内第三家通过工信部资质全面审查、进入工信部第300批公告，正式获得纯电动乘用车生产资质企业。
2019年7月16日，江铃集团与雷诺集团正式成立合资公司，促进江铃集团和雷诺集团在中国新能源汽车市场的战略布局，推动中国新能源汽车产业的发展，公司注册资本金增加至20亿元。
2020年底，新工厂全面投产，拥有冲压、焊装、涂装、总装及动力电池包等五大工艺，一期已建成10万辆，采用全球先进工艺装备，自动化率列行业第一，单台能耗、排放为行业最低，生产从A00至A+级全系覆盖的高品质车型，采用信息化、数字化、物联网等先进技术，实现多平台多车型柔性化定制生产，成为行业绿色、智能、数字化标杆工厂。
公司在电动化底盘、整车系统集成匹配、整车轻量化方面持续投入研发，已完成整车控制系统研发、验证匹配和产业化工作，并批量集成在全系列量产纯电动车型上，正在进行电池管理系统、电驱动系统等三电核心技术的开发及应用。
面对充满挑战的时代机遇和快速发展的新能源汽车市场前景，公司以“成为电动汽车和移动出行的普及者”为企业愿景，引进雷诺集团先进的纯电动车型以及雷诺集团和雷诺-日产-三菱联盟的技术及质量管理体系，持续提升产品力和品牌力，面向全球市场开发智能化、模块化的平台车型。
