UMD (www.umd.nl) is a national collaborative between 6 UMC's and the patient organization, with the collective goal to apply and translate innovative research and technology into improved diagnosis, treatment and care for patients and families suffering from an inherited metabolic disease.Main responsibilities:- Oversight of a multi-million euro budget in collaboration with a consortium controller, including annual financial reporting to funding partners - Coordination and contribution to operating board meetings- Coordination and organization of internal grant application and review process within UMD- Responsible for progress reporting to diverse stakeholders - Oversight of UMD research activities- Coordination of UMD newsletter and of the content and updates of the UMD website / portal for clinicians, researchers, patients - Search for and contribute to external grant applications of UMD - Organization of UMD webinars

The business plan for SkinPrint aimed to print human skin with a 3D bioprinter, to improve the treatment for burn wound patients. With the business plan we reached the finals of the Philips Innovation Awards 2013 and were awarded the Digital Award for most votes by the audience.
