Currently I hold a Medical Records clerk position at a prestigious personal injury law firm. This firm is a well oiled but very personable company. My position requires a lot of behind the scenes work, confirmation and multitasking. Constant communication with management and paralegals pertaining to current dockets. E-mailing, E-faxing, document uploading. Building professional relationships with doctors offices to receive up to date records in a timely manner. Verifying records are properly filled out with diagnosis and doctor signatures, and uploaded to the Workers Compensation court board. Previously as a Legal Assistant/Receptionist to the areas top bankruptcy firm is one I appreciate. In this position I was the first connect many people get when deciding if bankruptcy was right for them. I would gather basic standard information while scheduling a consultation. My administrative duties ranged: such as multiple phone lines, preparing informational packets and sending out Retain Letters and Non- Rep Letters. I prepped cases and presented them to the attorney. Multitasking is definitely a demand for this position and something I’m not short of. Along with my multiple office and case duties, I would also train new staff when hired.Beforehand I got to retouch on administrative duties as well as self learning and multitasking. I spent the past year being the backbone behind the scenes of a Real Estate mogul. Most of my time was spent handling all administrative task as well as reaching out and working not only with current or future clients, but also with vendors in reference to preparing a property for buying or selling. My personal tasks had a wide rang, ranging from office clerical work to simply running errands.Prior to that I became a certified licensed Phlebotomist. I spent a year and half working at a mental rehabilitation hospital. Hired as a Phlebotomist, I split me time being a Mental Health Tech. While getting my first real time phlebotomy experience, I also worked with individuals seeking Mental Health and Rehab guidance. I worked closely with Psychiatrist, Therapist, group counsellors and one on one with Registered Nurses. My days were spent monitoring patients and keeping surrounding areas safe and calm. Hourly group exercises were mandatory as well as sweeping of patients rooms. More days then none I was the Fill in Phlebotomist handling all AM lab for new admits and/or lab request from doctors. My phlebotomy skills were tested on daily basis due to patients ranging in age from 4-78, but also because of the dynamic of psych patient.
