Finding the right tyres for older cars and bikes can be challenging.Together with my team, I help solve that.I’m Managing Director at Vintage Tyres – the specialist international provider of new, quality tyres for cars and bikes from the 1890s to the 1990s. Whatever your vehicle, we stock, send and fit the tyres you need to get the best out of your classic.I’m also Managing Director at New Forest Tyres: stocking and fitting a wide range of tyres for modern cars, bikes and vans.I started out restoring cars and motorcycles in the late Eighties. Built specialist vehicles for the AA, aluminium catamarans for the Far East, replica Frogeye Sprites and bits of the Millennium Dome in the Nineties. Then worked as an editor, road tester and product tester on a range of classic car titles and ran my own print and digital comms company until 2015 when I became managing director at Vintage Tyres. Keeping older cars and bikes safely on the road has always been a passion, so running Vintage Tyres is a natural progression for me. It also allows me to indulge a long-held, and nerdy, love of tyres on a daily basis.I’m happy to talk in simple or technical terms about tyre types, suitability, sizing, sidewall decoding and tyre age.
