Design, build and integrate automation solutions into manufacturing and development processes.

Developed an engine test stand using Labview to interface between the test engineer, propulsion module, and various sensors. Documented the project for ongoing upgrades and implementation.

I started working at Precision Castparts Corp. as a Blue-light Scan Technician using the ATOS Tripple Scan system. I was given very little training and taught myself most of what I know. However, I am very well versed in the software and have since trained two other employees. After five months I started transitioning into a new position as a tooling engineer intern. I started by updating drawings for existing designs, but soon handled tooling projects from start to finish, including FEA and tolerancing of assembly components.

I was hired at Skutt Ceramics Products to do R&D on ceramic 3D printers for the hobby market as well as set up a Solidworks drawing database. A second intern was hired after several months and we converted 300+ PDF drawings to Solidworks including sheet-metal parts, castings, and assemblies. We then developed a CNC Router to fit their needs including a modular work holding system. Since my internship, a full-time mechanical engineer has been hired to continue our work.

At Autodesk, I was involved in two main projects. The first was a group project as one of ten summer interns. We were tasked with creating a set of innovative and engaging tutorials to teach students Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360.My second responsibility was to help develop the alpha version of HXMxpress (a CAM plugin for Inventor). I tested the software, including a simple 3 axis CNC machining. I also created and revised tutorials.
