Studying a Bachelor of Medical Engineering (Biomechanics) at the University of Newcastle, Australia, with specialised education in engineering principles and design processes to develop innovative solutions for healthcare challenges. Currently in my final year of study, preparing for graduation at the end of the year.My final-year project involved the biomechanical analysis of gait and the design of a 3D-printed prosthetic leg. Other projects include the creation of a 3D-printed arm, ECG devices, PAPR machines, 3D-printed prosthetics, designing materials for total knee replacements, and analysing the mechanical dispersion and flow-gradient of ventricles in a patient with severe aortic stenosis.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I collaborated on the development of PAPR devices, incorporating feedback from medical professionals at John Hunter Hospital to improve design and comfort.Courses i found most enjoyable include ENGG4500: Engineering Complexity and MENG4100: Implants & Assistive Technology, which emphasised creativity and problem-solving in complex medical engineering scenarios.Combining a strong technical foundation with hands-on research and practical applications, this education and experience provide a well-rounded perspective on the intersection of engineering and medicine.
