I am in a team that formulates and implements policies to advance Singapore’s contributions to global climate action, prepare the country for the impact of climate change, and ride on opportunities presented by a sustainable future.I have held various roles during my time at MOE where I started as a beginning teacher. At the end of my first school rotation, I transitioned into a Curriculum Policy role where I cut my teeth as a staff officer. I helped to craft and refine policies in MOE HQ that would impact what and how students would learn in schools. This role required me to engage multiple stakeholders across the ministry, and balance broad strategic aims with the intricacies of policy implementation so that I could be in good stead to inform, advise and make recommendations to key decision-makers. I also a team of economics educators to provide quality teaching and learning experiences for pre-university students. During the pandemic, this involved extensive change management and leading my team with a clear re-visioning of how education could continue to thrive regardless of whether students were in school or at home. In my spare time, I practise yoga and enjoy reading about history and geopolitics.
