During my Summer Internship at GDCL, I was given a project to review how the company can be more sustainable, with this objective my colleagues and I created a report detailing the avenues GDCL could take in becoming more sustainable, this report was then presented to the company as well as Auditors, Auditing the company. In addition, I was given the role of Doc Control, where I reviewed all outgoing documents and drawings for quality control purposes. Furthermore, as my responsibilities, I begin doing some minor project work. In the final weeks, I prepared the Graduate Development Plan that was to be given to the incoming graduates.

I joined International Books (language specialists) as the first of post Covid hires. From my first day I was responsible for handling cash,opening and closing the store and managing the website and social media. Developing my customer relations on the job, I advised many multinational customers with very little English in how they can best develop their skills. I of course helped those who wanted to learn a foreign language as well. I expanded my role by moving into product acquisition, researching new products, and ordering them for the shop, taking upon the risk of those items not selling. I took the initiative to update certain elements of the shop that have remained unchanged for quite sometime. These changes included a new shop layout, improvements in the website functionality as well as improvements in the packaging and shipping of orders. In this role I expanded my sale skills , my knowledge of buissness and allowed myself to implement my ideas and learn from them.

During the Covid-19 pandemic Eurofins Biomnis ramped up testing of Covid 19. To do so efficiently pre analytics had to go under rapid growth. Here I worked alongside a team handling over 5000 samples a night. these samples came from around 20 different locations, This required a very efficient organisation and communication as the tolerance for a mistake was natural zero. The working conditions where tiring and stressful but the team and I motivated ourselves while also mainting a efficient and effective workflow. As I grew into the role I gained more responsibility, training new hires as well as managing subteams. During my time here I developed my organisational and team building skills while developing a very low tolerance for mistakes in my work
