Lead mid- to senior-level officers in instruction of all aspects of Naval Mine Warfare theory, tactics and execution. Handled all matters that affected the department including administrative and legal matters, the operational readiness of the department, and the general condition of all training equipment. Commanded the Maintenance Division, consisting of sailors at all levels; effectively oversaw a $10M maintenance budget through proper adherence to maintenance standards and careful authorization of system use. Increased graduation rate from 87% to 96% through revamping the entire curriculum; analyzed class structure, identified inefficient course sequencing, and restructured courses into a more efficient pipeline process.Crafted FY17 course catalog of the Mine Warfare Training Center consisting of 113 classes; managed the procurement of more than $1M of training assets and distributed annual budget of $104,000 to 46 personnel for 24 courses.Instructed International Officer Mine Warfare course for 20+ foreign officers yearly on US tactics; led open forums for all nations to discuss policies, procedures and standard practices; supported international relations and joint warfare tactics. Conferred upon the military Commendation Medal for being a top and consistent performer by MWTC Commanding Officer.

Successfully managed ships training program and coordinated the preparation of an annual mission readiness assessment to address specific mission needs and the strategic and job-specific training priorities. Ensured that all resources were allocated appropriately so that training was cost-effective and had a maximum operational impact.Led the development and execution of an extensive training program for over 400 Sailors aboard a $342M landing dock ship to attend 2,500 courses annually with a 19-person team from 5 departments. Led engineering division consisting of 40 Sailors during daily evolutions to include equipment maintenance and operation, casualty control drills, and oil testing aboard $274M Avenger class Mine Countermeasure Ship. Securely managed secret communications and over $1M of IT/radio cryptology equipment; ensured three successful inspections and full accountability for all confidential communications with zero mishaps.
