I validated a prototype of a novel vacuum extractor device, for the safe instrumental delivery of a baby. I did this by conducting a randomized mannequin study in the LUMC and CWZ Nijmegen.

NLC - the European Healthtech Venture Builder - is dedicated to advance health, accessible for everyone. By using entrepreneurship at scale, our unique NLC approach allows us to find inventions, and create and support ventures that have the potential to reach the patient. As an intern, I scouted, selected and validated high potential innovations. I initiated and facilitated conversations and discussions with medical professionals, professors, inventors, IP lawyers, CE experts, subsidy advisors. Moreover, I established market research and competitor analysis, visited conferences and I made presentations, business plans and investment proposals.

As part of my Bachelor Thesis, I helped design and develop an elevator system that could move heavy patients in operating rooms from drive-in bed to operating table in order to relieve the physical burden of healthcare workers.
