Leading the embedded software team at UBC Solar to develop and validate firmware on PCBs, perform integration testing, and perfecting our telemetry system Sunlink. The embedded team is responsible for writing firmware for our MCB (Main Control Board), DID (Driver Information Display), AMB (Array Monitor Board), TEL (Telemetry) boards and telemetry data logging using SDL (SD Logger). Our firmware is written in C for STM32 microcontrollers, using HAL and CAN abstractions available. Our Telemetry Link Sunlink runs on a Linux machine, receiving HTTP requests with CAN bus data from the vehicle over a cellular connection. A parser parses this information, which is saved to their respective buckets in InfluxDB. We use boards on Grafana to view our data over time. Show less
