Energetic and motivated, I am a chemist with extensive production and multidiscipline research experience. My long-term career aspiration is to leverage data and scientific methodologies to enhance the quality of life for individuals and communities. I have conducted research under Dr. Perry, focusing on organometallic reactions requiring cobalt as a means to mitigate heavy metal usage in industrial applications, as well as researching under Dr. Lane Votapka with computer modeling of ligand-protein binding interactions related to chemotherapy cancer treatments. I gained valuable experience at Abbott within a large-scale production facility, initially as a Production Technician and subsequently as a Production Chemist. My primary responsibilities entailed overseeing the Buffer Lab, necessitating close collaboration with all the various wet labs within our facility. Furthermore, I assumed the role of lead investigator for numerous quality investigations, maintained comprehensive inventory control across all laboratories, and, under the purview of our Head Safety Officer, managed the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. In these roles, I have been the recipient of multiple monetary awards, predominantly in recognition of my adept problem-solving abilities pertaining to inventory waste reduction, attributable to my comprehensive expertise in inventory management and our facility's waste.
