James is a management executive and lawyer qualified in 4 jurisdictions (England & Wales, Ireland, New South Wales and South Australia). James is currently Senior Counsel with 160over90, an award-winning cultural creative agency that is part of the Endeavor Group. James was previously Chief Operating Officer at Beyond Rights, an international film and television production and distribution company based in Sydney, London, Los Angeles and Dublin. His work involves dealing with a wide range of commercial, operational and management matters in the media, film and television industry. James also has extensive private practice experience advising on complex corporate transactions, regulatory issues and commercial matters across a wide range of industries, including construction, intellectual property/licensing, energy/infrastructure, procurement, services contracting, major sporting events, utilities, technology services and film financing. James initially trained and worked in one of Ireland's leading law firms, Arthur Cox. He subsequently moved to Australia and worked on the corporate and commercial team of one of Australia's leading law firms, Minter Ellison. His work in Minter Ellison was particularly focused on energy (contracts and regulation), construction/infrastructure, procurement, utilities/mining/resources and commercial contracting. Upon returning to Ireland, he joined the corporate team in the Dublin office of the international law firm, the Maples Group, where he worked on complex corporate transactions including M&A, venture capital/private equity investments and corporate and shareholder matters, with a particular focus on advising clients on investments and capital raising in the technology sector. James also has political experience working in parliament and managing election campaigns.
