In this role, I managed 9 personnel in 3 separate IT groups including Network Administrators, Systems and IT Security Administrators, and Help Desk, by evaluating their performance and empowering them to drive their professional growth. I also supported operations including Meditech EHR and PACS alongside several ancillary clinical systems, and management of annual licensing and regulatory audits. I was a strategic leader who effectively established IT infrastructure priorities and spearheaded the completion of various initiatives in accordance with our IT roadmap.Among my accomplishments in this role, I:- Spearheaded the design, funding acquisition, procurement, and installation of Meditech Hardware compute and storage solution consisting of a 130 virtual servers EHR upgrade. Overcame challenges including lack of funding through negotiating with Cisco for 0% financing, and hardware acquisition and deployment to meet aggressive go-live deadline.- Resigned network typology including the segmentation of data canter networks by utilizing Cisco Nexus Core. Completed network refreshes pertaining to Cisco Wireless access points, LAN switches with Cisco DNA assurance, and routers.- Championed early adoption of Meditech high-availability solution to minimize service interruptions. Combination of database clustering, Meditech “swing space”, and Citrix load balancers were used to migrate processes and services between servers. At this point in my career, I directed a team of 12 in offering both technical ad ancillary support on non-clinical systems such as network infrastructure, data center, storage, VOIP, and enterprise backups. I also supported clinical systems such as Medical Imaging (PACS), VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive), and Laboratory Information System (LIS). I determined our operational needs through end-user communication and spearheaded the development of infrastructure and application-focused solutions.Among my accomplishments in this role, I:- Directed the planning and execution for the implementation of McKesson PACS system and speech recognition.
