Joined ComNet Networks and Security Inc. as General Manager to lead the Canadian operation in a new era of growth and expansion. It has agile, scalable resources to deploy across Canada—managing IOT network convergence and security systems installation and integration projects of all sizes, and completing complex, multi-year, multimillion-dollar projects in large-scale buildings, structures and infrastructure.

-Branch permanently closed as a result of COVID-19- Lead all aspects of Ottawa-region operations for North America’s leading consultant services company that specialized in servicing corporate events, exhibits, trade shows, and conventions. Supervise a staff of 120+ employees in Operations, Exhibitor Services, Sales (Inside/ Outside), Customer Service, and Administration. - Maintain direct involvement in all recruitment, screening, hiring, and training. Prepare appraisals for management and sales team members, and work to continually develop strategies to identify key target markets and develop successful business development initiatives. Lead a $25 million sales team. - Liaise directly with clients and foster lasting relationships by emphasizing high levels of service and prompt attention to any operational issues. Regularly negotiate terms for the provision of services, closing key accounts and drafting major agreements.- Closely monitor financials, including annual operating and capital budgets. Work closely with Accounting to maintain up-to-date financial statements, forecasts, revenue reporting, and profitability metrics.  Key achievements: selected in 2014 to be the first Freeman GM to run two separate divisions simultaneously (Event Technology and Expositions); accepted in 2015 into iLead, a prestigious course offered to 8-10 individuals annually that includes a year of intensive training in corporate presentations, leadership, and business; drafted a business case in 2016 to build an M&A team, and in 2017 led the development of a Change Management program after incremental revenue growth and joined the Executive team for M&A meetings.

-Directed all Winnipeg branch operations for AVW-TELAV (a division of Freeman), supervising a staff of 25 members in Operations, Sales, Technical, and Administration. Developed annual operating and capital budgets and carefully analyzed monthly financial statements to identify strategies for profit maximization, efficiencies, and streamlined operations.- Engaged in all aspects of HR, including recruitment, screening, hiring, training, and orientation. Conducted performance evaluations and developed strategies for coaching, discipline, dismissals, and corporate policy. - Oversaw the successful execution of several large events across Canada. Liaised directly with clients and worked to proactively resolve any service, staff, or operational issues.
