Crafted a logistics pipeline in and out of Ukraine for personnel and medical supplies. Worked with local individuals, organizations, and Ukrainian military to provide TCCC instruction and supplies. First team was on the ground March 9th. Built relationships across other NGOs to accomplish training goals. Fundraised 30K to run the expenses for our 5mo of operations. Several of our team members went back multiple times or stayed after their time with us. In total we trained 2,000 civilians, medics, and military personnel.

As a business development specialist I am responsibly for providing support to the site account executives by expediting budget processes and reaching out to potential clients to establish new relationships.

My thesis research is focused on determining what livelihood resources a vulnerable community has 10 years after a livestock project intervention. I spent 6 weeks in the Altiplano Highlands of Peru, interviewing Alpaca farmers, observing herds and pastures, and working with folks from the NGO that implemented the project. The greatest conclusion is that environmental factors are the gatekeepers to a successful project.

I lead animal health and behavior trainings for the employees several days a week. I work with the animals to become more socialized for therapy purposes. I head up several sponsorship opportunities and PR campaigns to garner support and funding for Hope Springs Farm. I also manage the land, pasture rotation schedules, and basic animal health, daily.

Consulted the farm on animal husbandry and sustainable agriculture practices. Developed a farm report to address concerns and goals for the coming year of 2015.

Work with graduate students helping to prepare, conduct, terminate, and collect samples for analysis. Poultry and Swine.

I facilitated a summer farming internship for myself through Work Away. I worked for two and a half weeks on a pasture dairy farm in Killarney, Ireland then traveled to Norway by way of Denmark, to a hobby farm near Kvinesdal, Vest-Agder, Norway for three weeks. I then visited Bremen, Germany before returning to Ireland at the end of the summer. In total the trip was 60 days.

Summer internship on a 3,000 head sow farm. Learned farrowing, breeding, piglet processing, and general sow care.

I was an integral part of everyday life of the dairy farm where during a shift we were assigned different daily tasks from mixing feed, to milking, to pulling calves if needed.

The day after the Joplin tornado I facilitated a relief effort by bringing together communities, companies, and volunteers in south central Pennsylvania. This lead to upwards of 40 wash baskets, made for families of 4, filled with hygiene supplies, towels, socks, coloring books and crayons. About $5,000 in donations on gift cards, 150 worker relief bags filled with masks, hand cream, trash bags, sharpies, and snacks. Several pallets of water and lots of pet food donations, leashes, and bowls. After I returned home, I organized a tractor trailer load of hospital equipment, musical instruments, and paper products that was delivered in July. The last part of the relief effort was using book bags to hold school supplies for K-12th grade, as well as decorations for teachers rooms. I delivered this myself when I went back to Missouri for school that fall.
