At Kelvinside Academy I am in charge of the school’s delivery of cricket lessons and after school cricket sessions. This role is for the summer terms.

Out2Perform is my own Sport Science business that allows athletes to access myself as their own sport scientist remotely through the Out2Perform training app. This includes S&C programming, sports nutrition, recovery strategies, mobility programmes, GPS monitoring and tracking and testing.

In my time at WOSCC I oversaw all things for junior cricket related. Training sessions, matches, running and organising summer camps, liaising with parents and other coaches.

Responsible for all things under the sport science umbrella at Queens Park including implementing 2 pre-seasons (COVID-19 affected). Main duties included creating and delivering S&C programmes, designing and leading training and match-day warmups, GPS and heart rate monitoring and tracking, sports nutrition implementation and implementing recovery strategies.

This role required the creating and delivering of S&C programmes to the clubs 3 teams, comprising 2 sessions a week in the University gym during off season. Regular testing was also performed on players.

Assistant coach of the Western Warriors U14&16’s side, before progressing to the Lead Coach of the U14&16’s Development teams.

At Ayr, I ran and organised their Primary Schools Programme. This consisted of coaching primary school classes, of up to 30 children, the basics of cricket through the form of quick cricket. I also organised and ran after school cricket clubs for both Primary and Secondary schools. Whilst I was here, I also planned, organised and ran summer camps for children of ages 8-16. As well as this I also oversaw junior training nights as well as being the Under 13’s Head Coach.

At Uddingston Cricket Club I had the same job role as at Ayr Cricket Club. On top of this, I also had the opportunity to coach disabled athletes.
