Through market information, the then CMD of Nation Wide finance offered an independent charge to handle automobile financing. While the company was predominantly into consumer durable finance, I was given the privilege of setting up automobile financing department in Nation Wide for the first time. The business had to face challenges in terms of offering higher interest rates while the competition wascheaper.
