This internship consisted of serving as an international business consultant for the Ohio University Global Consulting Program.During this time abroad in Ghent, Belgium, I had the unique opportunity to work on various projects that enhanced the operational efficiency and guest experience for a portfolio of boutique hotels. This experience not only honed my consulting skills, but also deepened my understanding of Customer Relationship Management within an industry.Within a team of other consultants, comprehensive market research was conducted to identify trends and opportunities within the boutique hotel sector. We were then able to collaborate directly with the hotel owners to assess their needs and develop tailored solutions. Our team assisted in multiple consulting projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery on numerous quality reports and presentations. By the time the program was completed, we provided several recommendations that would go on to enhance customer satisfaction, and increase direct bookings in the off-season.This internship not only strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, but also ignited my passion for the business of consulting. I look forward to leveraging this experience in my future endeavors.
