Working in this team environment centred around a shared love of exploration has only further ignited a passion for travel and global citizenship. Duties include delivering tailored product recommendations and advice for customers based on their upcoming overseas travel, hiking, and camping trips, ensuring all stock is stored correctly to allow for online customer order fulfilment, before meticulously packing and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring all outgoing orders are presented at a high quality.

Amplify Afghan Women is a not-for-profit initiative run by a small group of Monash University master’s students which aims reignite the conversation on Afghanistan and amplify the voices of Afghan women. Duties include editing and proofreading essays written by non-native English speakers, researching contemporary and historical Afghan affairs, event planning and hosting, and general organisational matters.

The Bunnings workplace provides a sense of challenge, with there being a great need to be able to work individually or collaboratively on pressing tasks, with creative solutions and effective time management skills being nurtured. As Bunnings employs a diverse range of team members and serves a wide customer base, an ability to work in a multicultural workplace has been fostered. Having worked at multiple warehouses across Victoria and New South Wales, a sense of adaptability and versatility has grown.

CUFA is committed to alleviating poverty in the Indo-Pacific through expanding access to financial literacy for rural communities, with a particular focus on combating gender and disability inequality.Main internship duties included assisting in the redesign of the ASPIRE project strategy document, one of CUFA’s flagship programs within Cambodia. The updated strategy framework is available on CUFA’s LinkedIn and website.- ASPIRE Program goal: to improve livelihoods through entrepreneurial opportunities for rural communities in Cambodia through facilitating the establishment and sustainability of cooperative social enterprises (CSE’s), with a strong focus on supporting aspiring female entrepreneurs and promoting social inclusion.- Annual funding of AUD$160k over four-year duration through DFAT ANCP- Over 800 participants annuallyThis role required a strong work ethic and attention to detail and has been extremely beneficial in developing intercultural leadership and communication skills. Other duties included grant application writing, attending weekly meetings with CUFA Cambodia team, and assisting in research for other CUFA projects in Cambodia.

Gained invaluable experience on what is required to work efficiently in a team environment, growing community connections, and maximising the customer experience within store.
