Steve is currently Co-Head of the Transformation Office for Public Cloud at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Prior to this, Steve was was a Partner at McKinsey & Company where he was a member of McKinsey’s Technology Practice with a focus on banking clients. Steve held leadership roles in the firm’s growth platforms Cloud by McKinsey and Build by McKinsey. Steve has more than ten years experience driving impact on complex change programs for global CIOs and technology leaders at large financial institutions. Steve has designed and led multi-year transformation programs for cloud adoption, technology modernization, talent strategy, and budget optimization. As a leader for the Cloud practice, He was responsible for the software IP asset R&D that accelerated cloud adoption on AWS, Azure, and GCP with a dedicated team of 35 technologists. Steve also served as a people leader for 120 client facing software engineers, cloud engineers, and architects in North America. Steve also led McKinsey’s own cloud adoption, becoming the first practice to fully exit data centers for all client facing software, using cloud based identity, open source, containerization, and best in class DevEx / DevOps. Steve has a passion for helping technology leaders lean their “run” spend to reinvest in “change” work, with better resiliency, speed, and innovation.Prior to working at McKinsey, Steve worked for high tech and enterprise companies with roles in software engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity. Steve received an undergraduate degree from from Colgate University and completed an intensive non-degree program at Columbia University for software engineering.
