  Role Responsibilities:• Reporting progress of all assigned tasks to the head of department and implementing specific plumbing & firefighting system engineering work in accordance with the work program of a project.• Understand owner/client design requirements prior to the commencement of any design project; coordinate with the Head of department and other architects & engineers for further clarifications on design requirements.• Coordinate effectively with other architects and engineers throughout project lifecycles (planning, concept design, preliminary design, design development, and final design). Review and understand their drawings and specifications to ensure that adequate provisions in Public Health and Fire Protection designs are made based on the designs provided by the other sections.• Organizing and supervising the work of drafting technicians and providing relevant support or advice to project teams as applicable.• Performing Plumbing and firefighting hydraulic calculations along with appropriate equipment selection based on the project requirements.• Responsible for efficient and effective design of plumbing & firefighting services, preparation of drawings, calculations, bills of quantities, and specifications.• Verifying and ensuring that all designs, drawings, and specifications comply with current local and international codes and standards.• Incorporating all client feedback during the project lifecycles for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases.• Reviewing and responding to the shop drawings to check for conformance with the information given and the design concept expressed in the Contract Documents.• Assist the site engineers by responding to technical queries they raise during the construction project phases and attending site meetings as and when required.
