Plan, administer, and monitor sustainability-focused grant programs in Sacramento and adjacent counties. Design and support CRP community outreach activities for California Air Resources Board (CARB) Clean Vehicle Rebate Project, California Public Utilities Commission & the Investor-Owned Utilities’ Time of Use Community Education Program. Responsible for nurturing key relationships between support staff, consultants, partners, key agencies, and the general public. Duties also include collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, and creating descriptive statistics, maps, and charts for management planning reports regarding community needs and local transportation needs. Served as project manager for federally funded programs analyzing, and presenting Pro Forma data, budget scenarios and alternatives to executive team staff. Conduct a review of the academic literature, the gray literature, and tools used in practice to examine housing and transportation cost burden, with a focus on understanding existing impacts on communities of color and low-income communities. The literature review will focus on two primary questions: (1) What are the determinants of housing and transportation costs, particularly as they relate to residential location decisions? (2) How do high housing and transportation costs impose burdens on equity-priority population groups?

Developed an inventory of strategies promoting densification via land use and transportation and preventing displacement through literature review and expert interviews of housing and transportation experts, policy makers/implementers and policy advocates throughout California, and in-depth case studies.

Contract-based work for a consulting firm specializing in neighborhood-level economic development planning and solutions-oriented climate readiness projects to operationalize legislatively mandated regional Sustainable Community Strategies at the neighborhood scale. Duties include research support for comprehensive neighborhood needs assessments, transportation dependency studies, and collecting qualitative and quantitative neighborhood demographic data to assess neighborhood public infrastructure conditions. Research methods include extensive use of case study research methods for data collection, GIS mapping utilities for spatial analysis, and using statistical software for compiling descriptive statistics. Climate readiness projects include Complete Streets Community Design Project, “small TOD” planning, neighborhood-focused energy and economic development plans, and mapping regional infrastructure investment data. Current work focuses on assisting with drafting the Environmental Justice component of the General Plan Update (SB 1000) for the City of Sacramento and mapping housing and banking data for reports to the US Federal Reserve Bank.

Duties included ongoing research and support functions for local government transportation planning contracts throughout the Northern California Region. Assisted in the preparation of Requests for Proposals, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) analysis, and conducted research on jurisdiction codes, zoning, city and county general plans, and state and regional planning guidelines. Work examples include Woodland Transit Center, El Dorado Park, and Ride Master Plan, Elk Grove Transit Center, the Crocker Museum Facilities Master Plan, and Lassen County Transportation Commission's 2018 Regional Transportation Improvement Plan.

Provide on-going research and support for neighborhood economic development planning and local level climate readiness planning currently taking place in the economically distressed SouthSacramento neighborhood of North Franklin. Using case study methods, collect qualitative and quantitative data regarding neighborhood demographics and infrastructure conditions for a Property Business Improvement District (PBID) to identify baseline economic conditions for neighborhood-focused solutions-oriented planning.Climate readiness projects includes Complete Streets Community Design Project, NeighborhoodShuttle Transportation Project, “small TOD” planning for large vacant lots. Community-based projects include Farmers Market and Street Vending Ordinance planning.
